Play with Passion: Intramurals 2025 Season

Intramurals are celebrated in schools to promote physical activity and sportsmanship. Students can showcase their talent and abilities in various fields of sports. Such as volleyball, basketball, archery, table tennis, taekwondo, chess, boxing, badminton, arnis, gymnastics, sepak takraw, athletics, football, dance sports, billiards and many others.

Last September 4, 2025, our school celebrated intramurals.  The athletes wore different outfits based on their grade level. In junior high school,  the 7th grade, the color of their shirt is color green, the grade 8 is color yellow, the grade 9 is color blue then the grade 10 is color red.  And also, each grade level has different teams. Grade 7 is Green Pythons, Grade 8 is Yellow Phoenix, Grade 9 is Blue Panthers, and Grade 10 is Red Falcons. In senior high school, they also have different teams for each strand. In Grade 11 STEM and ABM, their team is the Grey Pigeons, while in Grade 12, is the White Owls. In HUMSS and GAS, in Grade 11, their team is the Orange Dragons, while in Grade 12, their team is the Maroon Sparrow. In Grade 11 TVL, their team is the Golden Eagles, and in Grade 12, it's the Black Wolves. Additionally, there was also a Mr. and Ms. Intramurals 2025 event. Each grade level had representatives who competed. They wore PE attire, sports attire, and there was also a question and answer portion.

The Mapeh Club also prepared their booth, which will be set up to further enhance the enjoyment of the students. It's not just a physical sports that were conducted, but there are also e-sports like mobile legends and call of duty, which conducted by the Mapeh Club, this is to further showcase the students teamwork with each other and communication with fellow students.

The intramurals that held at schools are not just a competitions of the students, but it is an important part of shaping the character of the students. Because the students are given the opportunity to show their skills in sports, it also provides them with inspiration to strive harder by setting goals to win and further improve their abilities. And also it can helps students to relieve their stress.

 

Innovating For A Better World

The 2025 National Science Month celebration, with the theme "Harnessing the Unknown: Powering the Future through Science and Innovation." This is a nationwide celebration that takes place every year during the month of September to inspire the science exploration especially the students. This event is also features a different kinds of activities, such as recycraft, trashion show, essay writing, quiz bee and many more. 

In addition, it highlights the key role of science and technology in addressing the challenges of the future. The 2025 National Science Month Celebration is designed to make the science more understandable through the different kinds of activities.

As we move forward, the relationship between science and the society will be deepen, driven by the advancement of the technologies and also the global challenges such as climate change and more. This evolving relationship will transform our lives with both great potential and ethical challenges. Research, therefore, it will be essential, not only for developing the sustainable solutions of these problems but also for understanding and mitigating their effects. 

Science holds a critical responsibility supporting a societal development from prioritizing only economic growth to achieve a sustainable system. Through a research, science helps us understand complex systems, develop sustainable technologies, and create strategies for a resilient future.

Resiliency of the Filipino's in the face of Climate Change

Climate change is the long term changing of Earth's weather patterns. This is happening because of the actions of people that can damage our environment. And this causes deforestation, waste management, and also burning fossil fuels. The consequences include the rising of sea levels and global temperatures.

 A defining characteristics of Filipino's is their resilience in terms of climate change, influenced by our country's experiences natural disasters such as typhoons and floods.

The predominant reasons for sudden or progressive changes that adversely affect many Filipinos lives or living conditions, are usually connected and embedded in human activities and natural disasters.

 

My insights are that the complex relationship between human activities, environmental changes and the resilience of the Filipinos. It is very inspiring to see how the Filipinos are very resilient in terms of climate change. But being resilient is insufficient. We need to address these problems and also we need a better environment for our future. Every leader has a knowledge about the environment to create a better future and to addressed the devastating effect of climate change. Additionally, we need to work together to reduce the impact of climate change on our country so that the lives of the Filipinos are not affected.

Reflection

The first quarter has been a journey of significant learning and growth and filled with challenges.  The learning/ discoveries that I have gained in the during the First Quarter in ICT are the Internet Timeline, the uses of Internet, the Internet Access, the Internet Browser and Web Blogs.  I've gained a deeper understanding of Internet timeline; this was the first lesson during the First Quarter of my grade 10 journey, I learned what year the Internet was created, the first artificial earth satellite which is the Sputnik, what year e-mail (electronic mail) and www (world wide web) , how many Internet hosts are there, the TCP/IP or the language of the Internet and the people who contributed to the development of the Internet. The uses of the Internet, here I learned the uses of Internet, the Internet services and tools, the web browser and web server on how they work together and the data types. Furthermore, The Internet access and Internet browser, I learned the IP addresses and so on and in the Internet access, I discovered the various types of Internet access. And the challenging, the Web blogs, because we now use the computers and also blog often share personal experiences and share your personal opinions on various topics.

This first quarter, one of the problems/challenges that I have was my score in the quiz, because in our first quiz, I got low score, and I got difficulty in answering our periodical test particularly in the last part, because I forgot what I reviewed especially the years on the Internet .And also, my time management.

To address the problem/challenges of having a low score in a quiz, had difficulty on answering a test, and time management. In having a low score in a quiz, I will review my notes for next quiz so that I don't get a low score, when we took our first quiz, my score was low because I didn't review my notes too much and I forgot because of the many assignments we are doing.  Had difficulty on answering a test- review the lesson and take down notes the important information, so that when we will be having a test, I don't have much difficulty answering and I already know what I'm going to answer. Lastly, time management, minimize distractions and set time for activities like watching and gaming.

Moving on, I will make sure to take regular breaks and prioritize my well-being to avoid burnout. I will manage my time and share my experiences with others through the lessons that I encountered. Additionally, I will ask for help from my classmates whenever I encounter difficulties.

                Dear Mr President:

                      I am writing this letter to you to share and express my thoughts that concerning the future of our country under your leadership. Because I believe that as a student, it is important to share my thoughts, because it can affect our well-being. And I saw that during your administration; you helped many fellow Filipinos in their time of needs and have also built many unique infrastructures.

                    Furthermore, I hope you will be able to help many more Filipinos if they need assistance, especially in times of their needs. And also, the issues in our country concerning on the politics will be resolved to prevent many problems in our country. Your ability to lead with resilience, especially during time of disasters, has inspired confidence and unity among people. One of the things I appreciate about you as a president is your focus on the field of education, because it not only helps the students, but also the teachers.

                   Your service to the Filipino people is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your efforts and sacrifices for a better country. Sapat na Pagkain ay Karapatan Natin

The Nutrition Month Celebration is a yearly celebration every month of July. This celebration focuses on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and empowering people to take care of their health and have a balanced diet. With the theme "Food at Nutrition Security Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain Karapatan Natin!" It states the fundamental right to sufficient and nutritious food. Throughout this celebration, different activities and contests were conducted to increase the awareness about proper nutrition.

The TLE Club and teachers of the TLE Department were created a lot of activities that students can join like quiz bee, nutri-jingle, salad making contest, food festival, extemporaneous speaking contest and poster making contest. And last Tuesday, we participated in a food festival where students sell various nutritious foods, then I helped my classmates to sell different kinds of nutritious food. We sold spam musubi, lemonade and a mix fruit including the pineapple, watermelon, mango and cucumber with sauce, which we called fruit ninja. My classmates also participated in the nutri-jingle contest that took place at the gymnasium, then we went there to cheer for them, and they became the champion, so we are proud of them because our cheering for them was worth it. Their success in the nutri-jingle contest demonstrates their commitment to promote healthy eating through creative expression and also a testament to their hard work and creativity were tribute to their success.

In conclusion, the Nutrition Month Celebration was a vibrant and rewarding experiences through those different activities and contests. This celebration is important because it raises awareness about proper nutrition The success of the various activities and contest highlights how collective action can raise awareness and make a positive impact on people's understanding about nutrition. We prioritize our health; we eat nutritious food and having enough food is our right.
